Edward Allen Clay

Edward "Bangie, Eddie, Ed, Bootney" Allen Clay was born on May 3, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Frank Nicholson and Frances Clay. He entered into eternal rest on August 24, 2026. Edward was the seventh born of eleven children.

Edward 75, was a SSGT in the Air Force and was honorably discharged with 9 years of service. He received the AF longevity service ribbon with one oak leaf cluster, National defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze service stars, AF Outstanding unit award with V Device, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with palm, republics of Vietnam Campaign medal, AF Good conduct medal with three oak leaf clusters. He was employed with the United Parcel Service (UPS) and Clark County Parks & Recreation for many years. He was a member of the Bid Wiz Club.

Edward was preceded in death by his father, Frank Nicholson; mother, Frances Clay; sisters, Georgetta Jones, Marcella, and Lillian "Evonne" Clay, and Frances "Sissy" Stevenson; and his brother, Frank Clay, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his beautiful wife, Karen Ramey Clay; his amazing and loving children, Karena "Buffy" Clay, Katrina Clay, and Marcus Clay; three sisters, Marita Hatcher, Cherise and Karen Clay; two brothers, Darrell "Tyrone" and Caris "Wayne" (Robin) Clay; nine grandchildren, Shayla Humphrey, Raeleen Humphrey, TaRia Clay, William Foster III, Malachi Clay, Ryan Arends, Victor Clay, Tychel Clay, Ana Fe Clay and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
