Lawrence H. Jeter

Lawrence H. Jeter, age 82. Sunrise September 8, 1934 in Dunbar Township, PA. and Sunset December 12, 2016 at Scioto Retirement Community in Columbus, OH.

Lawrence was a graduate of Dunbar High School, a Marine Veteran of the Korean War, and retired from City of Columbus Refuge Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents James H. and Katie McConnell Jeter; sister, Ruth Jeter; wife, Betty Slade Jeter and mother of his daughter, Ophelia Peacock.

Left to cherish his memory, son, Michael H. (Marcey) Jeter; daughter , Kim A. (Thomas) Caine, stepchildren, James (Debi) Thornwell Jr., Donna Thornwell, Tonya Nooks and Nathaniel Thornwell and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. Interment at Dayton National Cemetery.
