Elaina Yvonne Shipp

Elaina Yvonne Shipp was born March 9th, 1947, to John and Barbara Shipp Jr. A proud graduate of Columbus East High School class of 1965.

Elaina attended DeVry University and Columbus State Community College with a focus on Criminal Justice. Elaina’s first and long-lasting love was art. Her creativity and artistry were outstanding. Her drawings were gallery standard. Elaina held many roles throughout her career.

She spent time as a security officer and a keypunch operator with the Defense Supply Center of Columbus, and she completed her career as a healthcare aide for her parents before they passed.

Elaina is predeceased in death by her grandparents, Charles and Beatrice Justice, and John and Eddie Shipp, along with her parents, John Henry and Barbara Ann Shipp Jr. She is survived by her daughter Lynette (Darnell) Wilson, granddaughter Taylor Pugh, grandson Quincy (Marilyn) Gilbert, and great granddaughter Marley Pleasant; sisters, Deborah Eiland and Brenda Shipp; brother John (Sharon) Shipp III, Step- Grandchildren, Jamar (Melissa) Harris, Morghyne (Demonte) Arrington, Michael Burress, Darnell Wilson Jr, great granddaughter Taelyre Arrington, with a host of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
