Ermias Tyler Hakeem Richardson, 16 months old, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Banner Children’s Hospital, Mesa, AZ. He remained on life support for several days after a choking incident.
He was born on February 27, 2024, at Abrazo Arrowhead Hospital, Glendale, AZ.
His favorite heart-warming cartoons were Bluey, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Dancing Fruit, and the Miss. Rachel Show. He enjoyed story time, singing, dancing, and jumping on the bed. He was always very happy, bubbly, energetic, and curious about the world around him.
Little Ermias was an avid water splasher during bath time or at the pool when playing in the hot Phoenix sun. Hide and seek was his favorite game to play with his mommy. He loved watching Bluey, experimenting and trying new foods with his mommy, and running around chasing his big cousin, Trenton Jr.
Ermias is survived by his mother, Annicia A. Chase; Grandparents Serbennia Chase & Tramel Carlock; Aunts Michal Corbin (Dijon Abrams), Stephanie Calhoun, and Mia Gentry; Uncles Terrence Chase and Gabe Gentry; and Cousins Trenton, Jr., Jay’Lanii, Mijon, Aiydan, and Joyrae; Great-aunt Perrace Jackson; Great-grandparents Jeffrey & Serbennia Davis; 2nd Great-uncle James Clark, Sr.; Godfather Willie Newman; a host of family, friends, and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his Great-uncle Trenton Jackson, Sr.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., and the Memorial services will immediately follow at noon at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 428 E. Main Street, Columbus, OH 43123.
