Ernest Blackmon Jr. was born June 3, 1940 to Erma and Ernest BlackmonSr. In Concord, Georgia . Ernest went home to the Lord peacefully with his family at his side on December 18, 2009. A graduate of Aracoma High School in Logan, WV, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and retiree of Local 423. Ernest was preceded in death by both parents; wife Chong Blackmon; brother Willie Floyd Clemmons and sister Luella Roberts. Left to cherish his memory, daughters Lavonia Kimbro (Jessie Miller), and Sue (Marc) Perles; brother James Clemmons; nieces and nephews Sabrina Tutstone, Ernest Clemmons, James Clemmons, Maurice Clemmons, Gloria Blackwell all of Columbus; Broderick and Kenneth Kelley, Ricky Clemmons and Valerie Armstrong all of Knoxville, TN and a host of great nieces and nephews and friends.
