Estelle U. Rash was born to the late John and Janie W. Rash, in Capels, West Virginia on April 3, 1936. She was raised by Charlie and Sadie Clark in Daisy Town, Pennsylvania and graduated from California Community High School in California, Pennsylvania. Estelle moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1957 to be with her siblings and biological mother; where she raised her four daughters and furthered her education.
Estelle accepted Christ at an early age and later she became a member of Oakley Full Gospel Baptist Church. She loved crocheting, sewing and making clothes for herself and her daughters. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking, baking, which she did very good; and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Estelle was the Matriarch of her family, fondly called Momma Rash by friends of all four of her daughters and the Westside Hilltop Children. She was a very sweet and kind person to everyone.
