Frederick Clay Durr Jr.

Fredrick Clay Durr, Age 63, passed away on August 19, 2026 at home in Columbus, Ohio.

Freddy was a member of Seventh Ave. Community Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor Emmett Moore Jr. He was also a beloved figure in his community on West Broad Street between Wilson Road and Galloway. There he shared his testimony daily with any and everyone who would listen. SPECIAL THANKS to his good friend Bob and the Victory Fitness Family, Kroger and Popeyes Chicken who all showed him unconditional love.

Freddy was proceeded in death by his father, Fred Durr Sr.; mother, Louana Hardiman- Durr; sisters, Shirley Jones and Neicy Gates; nephew, Devon Durr and other family members.

He is survived by sister: Tibby (Aaron) Durr-Watkins; brother: Daniel Durr; brother-in-law: Norman Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Freddy's best friends were William Whitehead and his ride or die cousin Jerry Andrews Jr aka "Brother."

Freddy used to say that the Lord put him to sleep for six months (comatose from a severe brain injury) , so he would wake up spiritually. That's the "miracle" that he often spoke of.
