Future Bestman

Future Bestman Wolofar was born on May 10, 1995, in Liberia to her loving parents, Cecelia Sleweon and Anthony Bestman. She passed away on the morning of Sunday, November 2, 2025, at home in Columbus, Ohio. Future was the second youngest of ten siblings. Although one of the youngest, Future displayed maturity beyond her years. From childhood, she was ambitious, hardworking, and determined to build a meaningful life. She cared deeply for others and was always thinking of her family’s needs before her own. Her greatest desire was to complete her education, become successful, and support her loved ones — a reflection of her selfless heart.

Future graduated from the D-Tweh Memorial High School in Liberia in 2016. After graduation, she began pursuing a career in Nursing at the United Methodist University before relocating to the United States. She is survived by her husband, Moses Wolofar; her beloved siblings Rufina, Jatu, Winston, Archie, Love, Antoinette, Noel, Rufus; her aunts Sue Sleweon Malakpa, Deborah Sleweon; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Future was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Cecelia Sleweon, and her dear siblings, Wadada and Toh.

Future had a deep love for music and enjoyed dancing. On the evening before her passing, for what was a normal day, she spent hours on the phone with her sisters—laughing, connected to an online prayer service, singing, and worshiping the LORD. Future's study notebook was discovered with Bible verses written out in her handwriting -- Scriptures that she's been studying and growing her relationship with the LORD. These are some of the beautiful reflections of the joy and faith that defined her life.

Future was a shining light in the lives of her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her life on earth was marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Her radiant smile, kind spirit, and devotion to God touched every heart she encountered. Future will be remembered for the way she lived — full of love, faith, and joy. Her light and memories will forever shine brightly in our hearts. May her soul rest in eternal peace in Christ Jesus our LORD. Amen.
