Gala Adair Scott-Walker

February 4, 1968 — March 14, 2026

Gala Adair Scott-Walker was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was surrounded by her sister, Judith, and her son, Julius, during her final moments.

Gala Adair Scott-Walker, age 58, was born on February 4, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio, and passed away on March 14, 2026. A native of Columbus, Gala later relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where she lived for over a decade. She was a graduate of East High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Stephens College. Gala was a devoted mother of two.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Mae Scott-Birtha; her grandmother, Nellie Bell Williams; and her grandfather, Jenkins Williams.

Gala worked in compliance for the past ten years at a Fortune 500 company. In the spirit of generosity and in following her mother’s footsteps, she founded ADAIR Humble Hearts, achieving her lifelong goal of helping others and uplifting those in need.

Gala enjoyed traveling and often accompanied her sister to international conventions. She also loved cooking as well as playing with her emotional support dog.

Her favorite color was purple, which represented calmness, healing, and compassion. She also had a special appreciation for butterflies, which symbolized transformation, renewal, and the many seasons of growth throughout her life.

She proudly preserved her mother’s famous cheesecake recipe, which became a cherished staple when serving dessert to individuals experiencing homelessness. Prior to her passing, Gala was in the process of establishing a donation closet to provide clothing, shoes, and school supplies to individuals and families in need.

Gala was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
