Geraldine Hobbs

Geraldine “Sis” Hobbs of Columbus, Ohio, had her sunset of this life on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at age 71. She was born September 17, 1954, in Madison, Alabama, the daughter of the late Shead Hobbs II and Cornelia Hobbs of Madison and Huntsville, Alabama.

Geraldine was known as many roles in her life: a good friend, a daughter, a sister, a beloved partner, a mother, an aunt and a grandmother.

She leaves behind to cherish her many memories, her two daughters: Laura D. Hobbs and Earleace M. Hobbs; her lifelong partner, Artis Evans; her sister, Earline Munobe; her brothers Leon Hobbs and Shead Hobbs III; two grandsons: Aurin J. Hobbs and Xayvion-Tay M. Hobbs; and many nieces, nephews, cousin,s and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, James J. Hobbs; father, Shead Hobbs II; mother, Cornelia Hobbs; and brothers Cubey Kelly Sr. and Allen L. Hobbs.
