Gregory Franklin

Gregory (Frankie) Franklin age 69, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 4, 2026.

Gregory was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 17, 1957, to Raymond and Louise Berry Franklin. He was a graduate of Marion Franklin High School, Columbus, Ohio. He served in the Navy and was honorably discharged after 10 years. He married Paulette Lawson on December 19, 1992.

Gregory enjoyed time with his Grandparents on their farm in Kentucky. Over the years, he spent time playing baseball, listening to music, watching westerns, grilling and hanging out with his family, friends and jazz club. He was a big Ohio State fan and an avid football watcher. He had a sense of humor that caused others to want to be around him. Gregory was employed at Harper's Fish Market in Southfield, Coca Cola and The City of Columbus Sanitation Department.

Gregory was preceded in death by his Parents and Grand Parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his Loving and Devoted Wife: Paulette Franklin; Beloved Daughter: Gayesha M. Franklin from Atlanta Ga.; Brothers: Raymond (Helga) Franklin, Norman (Maxine) Franklin, Lee Franklin, all from Kentucky, Arthur (Talitha) Franklin, Eric (Charlene) Tillman, of Columbus Ohio; Sisters: Omelia Williams of Kentucky, Anita Dawson, Toni Holland of Columbus Ohio. A host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Extended Family Members and Friends.
