Imani Salikale Daniels entered into eternal rest at the age of 50 years old in Columbus, Ohio on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Imani Daniels was the second child out of two born to Joseph Johnson (d. 1982). He was born on June 28, 1975 in Columbus, Ohio. Imani was baptized at an early age.
He graduated from Northland High School, Class of 1993. He attended Mt. Carmel College of Nursing, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He would go on to have two sons, Imani Elijah Daniels and Priest Amiel Casimir Daniels. He was an OR nurse at Mt. Carmel West and Mt. Carmel East under Mr. Ken Gillis- the Director of Nursing Administration. Imani was also a traveling nurse who had the opportunity to travel to many places with the Virgin Islands being one of his first destinations that he enjoyed very much. He was known to many as a gentle giant. He was very reserved and family oriented. When he spoke, he spoke with power and authority and his words made an impact. He was loved by all those who loved him and knew him. Imani loved sports. He enjoyed watching football, with him being a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan, along with his mother, (“Don’t hate just paticipate”). He also enjoyed watching basketball. Imani was an avid reader and studier of the word of God.
Imani Daniels was a devoted and loving son, father, brother, and uncle. He will be sorely missed. He is survived by a loving and devoted family: sons, Atticus (Imani) Daniels, Priest Amiel Casimir Daniels; God-daughter, Eliya (Wouldny) Rosemond; parents, Bertha (Lonnie) Daniels-Nichols; sister, Carmelita Daniels; brother, Jason Wilson; aunts, Carolyn Thomas, aunt/bonus mom, Elenora (CB) Baylis - Daniels, Paul (Christine) Daniels, Patty Daniels, bonus brothers/sisters- William Hammond, Tony, Ninette Guinn, Lolita Jordan, Ebony (Warren) Tye, Lisa Webster, Tom Rhonda Mills; special cousins/sisters, Jennifer (Claude) Hamilton- Willoughby, Sarah Donaldson, bonus parents Rev.
