Ivan Scott Moore, born March 12, 1970, in Sumpter, NC, to John Moore Sr. and Carolyn (Woodard) Moore, he passed away on October 1, 2025. He moved to Cleveland with his parents in 1973. Ivan graduated from James Ford Rhodes High School in 1989 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a devoted journeyman butcher.
Ivan was known for his beautiful smile, his fun-loving spirit, smooth talk, and his glowing personality. Ivan had an all-around love for people. He was an easy person to love. He leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of those who knew him. His memory will be cherished always by his loving family and friends.
Ivan is survived by his wife, Shauna (Wallace) Moore, father, John Moore Sr., mother, Carolyn (Woodard) Moore, stepmother, Garnetta (Jacocks) Moore, son, Martez Cross Moore (Taylor), three brothers: John Jr Moore (Brittany), William Moore, and James Moore. One sister; Danielle Moore; stepsister; Altrameise (Myers) Bettis; two stepchildren; Daja and Jovan Wallace, granddaughter; Kaia Cross (Moore); three step grandsons; Jace, Adrian, and Jaden Wallace; sister in law; Lisa Thomas, brother in law; Kevan Douglas, three uncles; Clarence Moore (Saundra); Stanly and Kevin Woodard, two aunts; Andrea Woodard and Jeanette Woodard and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Three very special friends: Jamal Turner, Carl Hampton, and Eric Fields.
Ivan's dedication to his craft earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and customers alike. He approached every day with enthusiasm. Ivan's generosity and kindness extended far beyond his professional life; he was always willing to lend a helping hand or share a word of encouragement with those around him.
Ivan's warmth and laughter filled every room he entered, making gatherings brighter and leaving lasting memories with friends and family alike. He found joy in the simple moments-sharing a meal, telling stories, and celebrating life's milestones with loved ones. His memory will live on in the stories we tell and the love he poured into those around him.
His presence will be deeply missed by a large and loving extended family. Ivan's love will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched. Let us acknowledge the positive impact he made in our lives and join together to respectfully commemorate his lasting legacy.
