Jacqueline Henry

Jacqueline “Jackie” Henry was born on June 13, 1954, and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She was one of ten siblings and grew up surrounded by family and strong bonds. Jackie dedicated many years of her life to working in the transportation industry, where she found purpose in helping others, offering assistance to those in need, and building meaningful, lasting relationships.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend with a big personality that filled every room she entered. Jackie worked tirelessly to provide for her family, always making sure that everyone she loved felt safe, supported, and cared for.

Jackie passed away after spending one final Christmas surrounded by love with her daughter and son-in-law. She bravely held on throughout the year while battling end-stage heart failure, driven by her determination and love to walk her daughter, Ciara, down the aisle—a moment that meant everything to her.

She is survived by her loving children: daughter Ciara Myrick Ouch (Sammy Ouch), and sons Ernest Henry Jr. and Armondo Henry; her sisters Barbara, Darlene, Julie, and Geraldine Henry; her brother Michael Henry; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha Ida Henry and Forest Henry Sr.; her baby sister Donna Henry; and her brothers Forest Lamont Henry Jr., Maurice Henry, and Ivory Henry. Jackie will be lovingly remembered for her big personality, her sass, her goofiness, her unconditional love, her contagious laugh, and her big, generous heart.
