Jacquelyn Jeanette 'Love' Goodwin, age 90, of Mansfield, passed into the arms of The Most High, Yahuah, at her home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Jacquelyn, known by most as Jackie, was born on September 6, 1935, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Dr. Milas Sloan Love III and Vicki Love. She grew up in Gulfport, Mississippi, and graduated from Xavier University with a bachelor's degree in sociology, later earning her master's degree from Michigan State University. After many years of dedicated service, she retired from the Center for Individual and Family Services, where she worked as a social worker.
Jackie leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Cesar (Karen) Dominguez of Marblehead, Ohio; daughter, Carmen (Dennis) Torrence of Mansfield, Ohio; son, Julio (Helen) Dominguez of San Diego, California; son, Edgar (Karen) Dominguez of Mansfield, Ohio; daughter, Marla (Lainie) Butler of Marietta, Georgia; step-daughters, Karen Feagin, Kim (Gabriel) Nwafor, and Keisha (William) Boyd, all of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Carolyn Jackson of San Mateo, California; brother, Milas (Merle) Love IV of Madisonville, Louisiana; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her fraternal twin sister, Jocelyn G. Mills, and the love of her life, John A. Goodwin.
Services will be held at the Chapel of Peace on 753 McPherson Street, Mansfield, OH with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and services from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. Jackie will be laid to rest next to her loving husband at Oak Grove Memorial Park in Lexington, Ohio.
