James Clark

James Clark was born on January 7, 1945, in Sarah Ann, West Virginia to Rev. Tom and Alfreda Clark.

James dedicated his professional life to the City of Columbus in the Environmental Services Department, where he served with pride and commitment. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, he embodied the values of service and dedication throughout his life.

James found joy in many simple pleasures, from a serene day of fishing to hitting the green for a round of golf. A passionate player of Words with Friends, he loved the friendly competition it brought with family and friends. His culinary talents were legendary, especially his delectable homemade cheesecake, which brought sweetness to countless gatherings.

A devoted member and minister of the Pool of Bethesda, CLGI, Min. James cherished his time in the senior choir, where his voice resonated with love and devotion. His faith guided him and touched the lives of many.

James is survived by his adoring wife, Eld. Linda Clark; and his sister, Min. Josephine Clark; and a host of nieces, nephews, and godchildren who will forever cherish their memories with him. He was preceded in death by his parents Tom & Alfreda Clark and five siblings: Thomas, Bertha, Ernestine, Freda, and William.

James Clark's memory will be forever etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. James embraced every moment of his journey, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering faith. His spirit will live on in the stories we tell, the songs we sing, and the kindness we extend to one another.
