Janet Ilene Greason was born November 30, 1936, to John Henry Flint and Dorothy Pauline (Hester) Flint in Columbus, Ohio. She was the most loving, caring, giving and sweetest person that ever lived. She showed love, kindness and enjoyed making others happy.
As a young adult,Janet married Joseph A. Johnson on February 6, 1960. The union ended March 31, 1962. Janet later met and married Ulysses Greason on May 16, 1964 until she became a widow in 1990. Through this marriage she gained and helped to raise her stepdaughter, Deborah Greason and later her grandson Dexter.
Although she did not have biological children, she helped to raise additional children beginning with babysitting, childcare in people's homes, neighbors, nieces and nephews.
Throughout her employment, she enjoyed being a nurse's aide and phlebotomist at the University, production service and Franklin County worker assisting and teaching others to make healthy dietary food choices and preparation along with many other jobs.
Janet was a faithful member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and later Rhema Christian Center where she served in multiple ministries for over 40 years. Her loving smile and warm heart shone brightly as she served as a greeter and member of the Impact Ministry. Some of her favorite activities through the years were skating, music, bowling, playing Pokeno, traveling, social gatherings and always hosting Christmas dinner for family and friends.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; John Henry Flint and Dorothy P. (Hester) Flint- Collins; husband, Ulysses Greason; and sisters, Lucille Morton and Geraldine Byrd.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Deborah Blunt; step-grandchildren, Dexter Greason (Tessa), Edward Blunt (Jaime) and Jermaine Blunt; thirteen (13) grandchildren; five (5) great-grandchildren; nephews, Richard B. Byrd II (Ernestine) and Gerald J. Byrd I; nieces, Denice Byrd, Ina Flint and Demetria D. Vaughn (Norman); special cousins, Thomas Dowdy Jr. (Margie) of Norfolk, VA, and Edith Howell (Jesse).
