Janice really loved her family. Darryl, Maurice, Jr. and Marcquie was very special to her because she helped raise them and was always there for whatever was needed especially in caring for Marcquie.
Janice moved to Columbus in 1959 where she has resided since moving from Pittsburgh. She was employed with the R G. Barry Corporation for many years before the company relocated outside the U.S., she then went on to work at the F and H Grill well over 15+ years. She was known as Jan to the many that frequented the bar and Mom or Grandma to a lot of the younger crowd. Although she was from Pittsburgh, she was a diehard Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed the numerous times we traveled to attend the games.
Janice enjoyed playing Bingo, going on trips to casinos especially Wheeling Downs and as everybody knows, playing her numbers. She would walk everyday to the store and if one of her friends that wasn't as mobile in their complex needed something, she didn't mind doing so.
One of her special moments is when she vacationed & traveled to Nausau Bahamas in the early 1990s. She was a very sweet person and is going to be sorely missed!
The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and kindness that have been extended to us during our time of bereavement. Please continue to keep us lifted in your prayers
