In Loving Memory of Joshua Clinton Ingram October 10, 1979 - July 10, 2026 Fun-loving, energetic, happy, intelligent, mischievous, and a true Jack of all trades-these are the vibrant words that perfectly describe the essence of Joshua Clinton Ingram. Born to his proud parents, Vincene Verdun and Anthony Ingram, on October 10, 1979, in Detroit, Michigan, Joshua entered the world as a whirlwind of joy. From his earliest days, he was a bright-eyed, quick-witted child who approached life with an infectious smile and a curious mind, possessing an innate ability to master absolutely anything he set his hand to.

Joshua beautifully matriculated through the Bexley school district, leaving unforgettable footprints at Montrose and Cassingham Elementary, Bexley Middle School, and ultimately at both Saint Charles Preparatory School and Bishop Hartley High School. To watch Joshua grow was to watch a discerning mind and an extraordinary athlete in motion. Joshua was nothing short of a wizard on the basketball court. With a ball in his hands, he moved with a seamless grace and an electric energy that captivated the stands, turning every game into a display of pure passion. His thirst for growth and understanding led him first to Virginia Union and then to The Ohio State University, where he proudly graduated with a degree in Child Psychology.

In 2004 Joshua met April Morris and together they had Madison Ingram in 2005. April passed when Madison was only 6 months old and Madison became the center of Joshua's world. Joshua and his brother Vincent raised their daughters together in the family home for years, sharing responsibilities for Paige, Madison and Hope. Everything revolved around his Maddie Bootskers. When Madison was only 4 years old, Joshua met his life partner Tenekia Johnson and his bonus daughter Karibeiane. Joshua became the ultimate family man, volunteering as a coach on the various sports teams of his daughters and serving as the assertive parent cheering and complaining loudly to the referees at their games. Joshua was an active parent heavily invested in the success of his children. Family meals were a big deal for Joshua, especially at O'Charley's.

He was the kind of guy who won the hearts of everyone around him especially his friends' parents , Christina and Keith Morrow, and Tenekia's parents, Lois and Stan Johnson. His gang of friends including Justin Morrow, Rob Curfman and Will Gauze were avid Michigan fans in enemy territory. They tailgated, drove to Michigan for games, and religiously watched Michigan football on television, along with every other sport andteam. He loved nothing better than shouting at the TV and talking trash to Ohio State fans.

Joshua loved children, and kids loved Joshua. A big part of his life was spent uplifting the next generation. He worked tirelessly with agencies focused on empowering youth. Whether he was coaching and mentoring as part of his job at recreation centers in Bexley and Columbus, Joshua's presence was a steady, encouraging anchor for countless children who looked up to him.

To know Josh was to love him; he possessed a rare, magnetic charisma that instantly filled a room. He was extraordinarily witty, armed with a lightning-fast comeback for any occasion, and he had a unique gift for lifting others up. If Joshua was the man on your team, you felt completely invincible. In his leisure time, he was a true connoisseur of sports, holding an uncanny, almost prophetic ability to predict the winning team before the final whistle blew. Around a pool table, he was a known expert, playing with the same sharp focus and effortless style that defined his life.

Above all, Joshua's greatest legacy is the immense love he shared with his family. He leaves behind a rich tapestry of beautiful, vivid memories to be forever cherished by his parents, Vincene Verdun Cox, Arthur Cox and Anthony Ingram; his daughter, Madison Ingram; his devoted fiancée, Tenekia Johnson; and his bonus daughter, Karibieane. Hismemory will be fiercely protected and celebrated by his sister, Shukura L. Ingram, nieceLauren, and nephew MJ; his sister, Rea Woods-Yates, niece Anais, and nephews Solomon and Eden; and his brother, Vincent Ingram (Kaniece), nephew Vincent Jr., andnieces Paige, Hope, and SaVyah. He also leaves behind a host of numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends who will miss his laughter and his brilliant spirit deeply.
