Julia Jeanette Caldwell

Our Lord and Savior has called one of His angels home.

Julia Jeanette Morton Caldwell, age 85, was born on February 19, 1941 to the late Arthur James and Rachel Frances Dawson Morton in Columbus, OH. She departed this life on September 14, 2026

Julia came to know the Lord at an early age and stayed faithful for 60 plus years at her church.

She attended St. Dominic Catholic School where she participated in Spelling B's. as a child she loved crossword and loved to spell. She attended Champion Jr High School and then graduated from East High school in 1959. She was a tiger to the end.

In 1960, she married Thomas McKinney and they had two daughters. Julia later married William Caldwell in 1983 and they made happy memories until his death on August 23, 2024.

Julia worked at OSU Hospital in the early 60's as a dietary worker. Later, she started working for Westinghouse for nine and a half years. From July 24, 1978 thru January 1, 2005, she worked for General Motors until her retirement. Also in the 70's, Julia went back to school and received her Associates Degree from CTI for social work. There were times when she worked at Rosemont for dysfunctional kids. Trying to make a difference, Julia and her granddaughter, Tiana would do Meals on Wheels every weekend. She always taught that you treat everybody the same regardless of people's circumstances.

She loved shopping, spending time with family and friends and gambling. She took many trips before she became bedridden. Julia was a member of Senior Celebration and was active until she no longer could come and be a part of the gang any longer. Her wonderful spirit will be missed.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents: Arthur James and Rachel Morton; her husband, William B. Caldwell; brother, William Morton; sister, Betty Mosley; sisters-in-law: Cynthia Morton and Rita Morton; nephew, Charles Ross and niece, Denise Shelton.

Julia leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Tanya Robinson and Genevieve Young; Plus one daughter, Linda (Dennis) Johnson; bonus daughters: Deborah Caldwell and Angelique Caldwell; Brother, Thomas Morton; Sister, Barbara Morton; 13 Grandchildren; 18 Great-Grandchildren; two Great-Great-Grandchildren; Long Time Friend, Sandra Bridges and Spiritual Friend, Sister Willie Jones.
