Julius "Baso" Daniel

Julius “Baso” Lamar Daniel Sr. was born on April 28, 1950, in Springfield, Ohio, to parents Robert and Jane (Hardin) Daniel. He attended Springfield City Schools, Central State University, and Clark State. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Julius was baptized at an early age. He worked for Clark County Transportation until he retired. He was a member of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Ohio, Champion Lodge #15, Akbar Temple Shriners, Past Post Potentate, and President of Strivers.

He is survived by one son, J.R. Jr., five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four brothers, Gary (Ava), Randy, Frazier (Beth), Mike (Dawn), Sister Sylvia (Doug) Norris, and one aunt, Betty Reed. Close friends Otis Williams, Harry Daniel, Mark Clark, Tammy Reed, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and plenty of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, and grandparents.
