Mrs. June Shull was born June 1, 1943, in Princeton, W, to Ashford W. and Jewel A. Slaughter Sr. She graduated from Princeton Mercer High School in Princeton, W, and Columbus State Community College in Early Childhood Behavior Education, where she earned an Associate Degree at 60 years old. Former employee of XEROX, and a Beloved teacher at CAMCO Head Start at Milo Grogan Recreation Center and Broad Street. Presbyterian Church, and at Rainbow Summer Youth Camp.
June was a long-time member of Love Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Dr. Wesley E. Greenfield, Pastor. She was an active member of the Sunday School Class 500, Missions Committee, Culinary Mission, and Love Zion's M.B.C Usher Board. Mrs. Shull loved ceramics, sewing, puzzles, crafts, going out to eat, traveling, gardening, she loved roses and spending time with friends and family (especially her grandchildren).
Proceeded in death by her parents, A. W. (Jewel) Slaughter Sr., husband Robert Shull, her great-grandmother Marther A. Young, brother A. W. Slaughter Jr., sister Annetta Wallace, daughter-in-law Jackie Forney, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Survived by her children, Kenneth R. Forney Jr., Adrienne R. (Randolph) Foster, Kevin R. Forney, Robert H. Shull, stepdaughter Antonette Jackson, sister-in-law Carmen Thompson-Slaughter, and ex-husband Kenneth R. Forney Sr., Best friends Kayla Anderson and Sarah Hayes. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Mrs. Shull has truly been blessed. She has lived a full and fruitful life full of love, joy, and happiness with her family, church family, and friends. Mrs. Shull will be truly missed.
