Keith Ian Richard Mathews, 26, born March 23, 2000, passed away suddenly doing what he loved September 28th, 2026, in Springfield, Ohio. He is survived by his parents, Lisa (Randy) and Denny; four siblings, Tommy (Steph), Ava (Brad), Nona, and Nic (Cierra); lots of nieces and nephews; several friends and the Midnight Misfits, an amazing biker group he rode with, led by his best friend JT.
Keith knew no strangers. Truly. He had such a vibrant, outgoing personality that he drew people in wherever he went. His heart was just as big as his personality. Keith was always looking out for everyone around him and trying to lift people up. He had more dreams and ambition than he had a lifetime for. Keith was determined to make his first million by thirty-one and help all those around him start their own business as well. He worked hard to get his CDL's and was in the process of obtaining his hazmat certification to start his own business. Keith loved life and creating memories and was well known for randomly showing up and making everyday life an adventure. Keith brought people together and kept you laughing until your sides hurt. Whether it was impromptu karaoke or just his random goofiness, he loved seeing people happy. He encouraged people to make amends, grow, find peace, happiness and live their best life.
Keith had so many hobbies and passions. He loved riding his motorcycle in his free time, which led him to meeting his best friend JT and finding a family among the Midnight Misfits. Keith was the happiest we had ever seen him and he couldn't wait to share stories and videos of all his friends. He was in the process of restoring his Dodge Stealth he got from his late friend and loved taking it to car shows. He had an eye for spotting people's talent and spent countless hours creating business plans with everyone around him to help them build their lives up. He loved mudding in his truck and wandering among the trails, enjoying nature. He managed to find a new beautiful place everywhere he went to share with his family. He loved to try new things and could often be found exploring international markets and antique shops looking for something different. In his downtime, he could be found online playing games with family and friends.
To say he will be missed is an understatement, his absence ripples through the many people's lives he has touched.
You can pay your respects to him at Marlan Gary Funeral Home Chapel of Peace, 823 S Yellow Springs St, Springfield, OH 45506 Saturday October the 10th, from 12-2pm.
