Kendra Jordan, 41, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on March 15, 2026. She was a woman of strength, creativity, and deep faith whose presence brought light, joy, and love to all who knew her. Born in Columbus, Kendra carried a deep love for her city throughout her life. She was a devoted and passionate fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes football, proudly supporting her team with unwavering loyalty and spirit. Kendra was widely known for her involvement in the Special Olympics, where she found great joy, especially in basketball. Her passion for the game was a reflection of her determination, resilience, and vibrant personality.
A gifted artist, Kendra had a remarkable talent for creating beautiful, detailed sketches. She pursued this passion at the Art Institute, where her creativity flourished and her artwork reflected her heart :expressive, thoughtful, and full of life. Kendra also had a special gift in the kitchen. She was known for cooking with joy, often dancing as she prepared meals. Her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and love, and her energy was contagious. She shared it freely with those around her.
Deeply rooted in her faith, Kendra was devoted to her ministry and passionate about spreading the word of God. She sought to uplift and inspire others, living her life as a testament to her beliefs. Kendra also had a heart for advocacy and dreamed of becoming an abuse advocate. She took meaningful steps toward that goal, including participating in an interview to encourage awareness and support for others. She also created a blog on Facebook where she shared her voice, her experiences, and her desire to help others.
Above all, Kendra was a loving and devoted mother. She once expressed in an interview that, beyond all of her talents and passions, her greatest wish was to be remembered as a mother who loved deeply and did her very best. She gave herself fully to motherhood, facing each day with strength, tenderness, and unwavering love, even while enduring pain that never left her side. That love will always shine as a guiding light for her daughter and will never be forgotten.
Kendra is survived by her beloved Daughter: London Brooks (Ian Lyon); her Grandmother: Fannie P. Wiley; her Parents: Cassandra Sturkie-Johns and Henry Johns and her Biological Parents: Linda Jordan and Jon Grant. She is also survived by her Siblings: Jermaine Sturkie (Nakita), Bryan Davis, and Onitta Jordan, along with Jonathan Thomas, Alita Jordan (Jermain), Debra Grant, Da'Sean Scott, Tynequia Burnette, John Grant, Santaria Johnson, and David Grant. She is also survived by a host of loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.
Kendra's life was one of love, faith, creativity, and perseverance. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
