Kenneth Dawson

Mr. Kenneth (Kenny) Dawson was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, and loyal friend. He departed this world peacefully on March 28, 2025, at home in Columbus, Ohio. Kenny loved life and believed in spreading joy and kindness to everyone he encountered. No one was ever a stranger to Kenny. His passion was to sing and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Kenny was currently a loyal and committed employee at Miranova Columbus, where he served as a security guard. Interacting with the staff and welcoming visitors to the building was the highlight of his day. He was best known as a committed deacon at Greater Cross Tabernacle Church. Kenny previously worked as a group leader for The Buckeye Ranch. His leadership abilities and commitment to excellence allowed him to help promote positive change in the lives of many young people. Kenny was an exceptional family man. He believed that his children and grandchildren were his treasures and, in his words, “were the things that made life worth living.”

Kenny’s favorite scripture was Romans 8:37-39 “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

Kenny is survived by his wife Adrienne Dawson of 42 years; children Kenneth M. Dawson and Herbert Allen (sons), Kirston (Roger Jr.) Hairston and Brittany Dawson (daughters); siblings Larry (Patricia) Stephens, Bishop George (Shalonda) Dawson Jr., Tamera Dawson, George (Marcey) Williams, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents George Evans and Murdis Dawson Sr., and siblings Agnes Regina Qualls and Charles Evans Dawson Sr.
