Honoring the Life & Legacy of Kerll Lee King
Kerll L. King was born on February 18, 1935, in Columbus, Ohio, to William and Mahalie King. He departed this world to take his place in Heaven on July 10th ,2025. Kerll was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Kerll developed a strong work ethic early in life, beginning with his first job delivering newspapers as a child. He later worked in a steel mill in Gary, Indiana. Everyone that knew him or came across him called him the gentle giant. He loved the Lord, his family, people, food (anything chocolate) and traveling. He was a simple man and enjoyed a simple life.
Kerll accepted the call to be a Minister and dedicated over 50 years preaching and teaching the word of God. He and his wife Gloria participated in several prison ministry groups. He believed everyone deserved a second chance. Kerll was a member of several churches throughout his 90 years of life, all which played a vital role in his walk with the Lord.
Kerll was the baby of his siblings and would remind you that his sisters Ruth, Margie, and Barbara gave him the nickname "Baby Boy "when he was little. They called him that his whole 90 years of life. Barbara would always make sure to bring her "baby boy" his favorite chocolate candy. Ruth and Margie always had him a plate of sweets out when he visited. He often told stories of the BRO relationship he had with his brother Johnny and their happy times.
