Obituary

Kevin Kee was born on May 26, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, to Adam and Ollie Kee. He entered the world as the older of twin boys, alongside his beloved fraternal twin brother, Kenneth Kee.

Kevin graduated from Central High School in 1979 and continued his education at The Ohio State University, where he earned his degree. A true Renaissance man, Kevin possessed many talents and interests. He loved sports, card games, and dominoes, and he was well known for being a great dancer. His contagious smile, calm demeanor, and distinctive sense of style left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

In 1990, Kevin married Darlene Davis. Together, they were blessed with two children, Michael Kee and Dominique Kee. Kevin was deeply committed to his family and served as a steady anchor in their lives. He led his household in prayer each night, providing spiritual guidance, strength, and unwavering love. Beyond his own family, Kevin was a father figure to the fatherless and a dedicated advocate for his community.

Kevin's faith was central to his life. As a devoted member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, he served in numerous capacities, including leadership roles in the Evangelism Ministry and Men's Ministry. He also participated in baptisms and was ordained as a deacon on January 6, 2008.

His commitment to serving others extended far beyond his local congregation. Kevin participated in four mission trips to Haiti, where he shared his faith, served communities, and baptized individuals. His ministry reflected his compassion, courage, and belief in meeting people with both love and action. Kevin will be remembered for his devotion to God, his steadfast love for his family, and his generous service to others. His life was marked by faith, leadership, warmth, and quiet strength. His stylish presence, dancing spirit, and commitment to uplifting those around him created a legacy that will continue through his family, church, and community.

Kevin Kee was an anchor, a servant-leader, a community advocate, and a father to many. His life was a blessing, and his memory will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Adam Kee, Sr.; his grandson, Kevin Jordan Kee; and his nephew, Shane Riggins.

Kevin leaves to cherish his love and memory devoted wife, Darlene Kee; loving mother, Ollie M. Kee; sons, Michael (Dominique) Kee and Dominique - Adam Kee; grandchildren, Michael A. Kee II, Jaylin Kee, Malayia Kee, Emere Kee, and Adam Kee; siblings, Jennese (Otis) Kee, Adam Kee, Jr., Debora Givens, Darlene (Donnell) Sunderland, and Kenneth Kee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and nephews, and friends.
