Kim Maurine Elder-Jones

With loving hearts and cherished memories, the family of Kim Maurine Elder-Jones announces her peaceful passing on October 21, 2026 in Columbus, Ohio. Born on March 10, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio, Kim's warmth and boundless generosity touched all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Kim's life was defined by her caring spirit, her devotion to her family, and her remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcomed at her table. She found fulfillment in her career in customer service, where her genuine kindness shone through each day. Yet, it was in the kitchen that Kim was truly in her element-her skill as a cook was legendary among friends and family, and her baked treats brought joy to every gathering.

Family was at the heart of all Kim did. She especially treasured moments spent with her beloved daughter, Eyanna Elder-Isadore and her grandchildren: Dallys Jefferson, Cherish Massey, Malakai Jefferson, Simone Jefferson, De'Liylah Evans, and De'Aire Evans. Kim's sister, Julie Elder; brothers: Jeff Elder (Marva Elder) and Marlin Wallace (Mable Wallace), and a host of special nieces and nephews will forever hold her memory close. She was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Elder Sr.; mother, Phyllis Elder; brothers: Kip Elder, Harold Allen, Maurice "Biddie" Elder, and her beloved son, Raishaun Jefferson.

Kim found happiness in the simple joys of life-shopping trips with her daughter, outings at the park, swimming with the kids, and sharing meals with those she loved. Her laughter, her willingness to give her last to help others, and her hardworking, sweet nature made her a true friend to many.

Though she has left this world, Kim's legacy of love, selflessness, and togetherness will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her caring heart and joyful presence will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
