Larry Lamar

Larry Lamar was born on August 10, 1955 to the late James and Lucy Lamar. He departed this life on March 15, 2026.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Big Bo Lamar and Linwood Lamar and a niece: Candice Carr.

Larry graduated from East High School in the Class of 1972 where he was known for his great basketball skills and good looks.

Larry was a gentle giant and he always kept a big smile on his face and stayed optimistic about everything. Everywhere he went everyone loved his cheerful energy. Also known for his passions to help others, Larry loved and cherished his children and the rest of his family. Larry loved nothing more than cooking some good old fashioned fried chicken; that was his way to your heart. He was always the person to talk to and be transparent with you and remind you how great of a person you are and what you are capable of no matter what path you are in in life. He always loved on those who loved on him but, he didn't do drama. Big L will always be remembered as a lover not a fighter and will forever be truly missed hands down.

He leaves to cherish his memory, Wife: Trecey Lamar-Jamison; Son: Larry Carn; Daughters: Gabrielle Trudell and Tiara Jamison; Grandsons: Jayden Jamison and Adonis Jamison; Granddaughters: Jayda Jamison, Janea Jamison, Londyn Sunderland, Princess Crawley, Ava Jamison and E'Niyah Barker; Nieces: Starr Carr and Alicia Dumas; Nephews: JayVaughn Dumas, DeShone Dumas and a host of other relatives and friends.
