LaSaundra Johnson

Lasaundra Johnson, age 51, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

Born on June 3, 1975, in Columbus Ohio, she was the nineth of ten children. She was a loving, caring and kind person who dedicated her life to her family and friends. A good person all around.

LaSaundra enjoyed cooking, reading books, singing, watching scary movies, cartoons, fishing, yard sales, taking trips and taking care of everyone. She worked with MRDD patients for 20 years and went on to work at Spectrum Communications where she was a customer service rep for 7 yrs.

LaSaundra was truly one of a kind. She was the one who took care of everybody and everything. No matter what was going on, she always found a way to make sure everyone was taken care of. Whether it was offering a helping hand, giving advice, providing comfort, or simply being there when someone needed her, she made it her mission to look after the people she loved.

She was the backbone of our family, the one we could depend on, the one who held things together, and the one who made sure nobody was forgotten. Her heart was big enough to make room for everyone, and she gave so much of herself without asking for anything in return. Her love was shown not only through her words but through her actions, her sacrifices, and the countless ways she cared for others.

She was much more than a daughter, sister and aunt. She was the glue, the heart and the goat of her Family, always making sure everyone is ok. She will be truly missed.

Preceded in death by her mother, Luquetis Barnett; father, Samuel Shepherd, Sr.; brothers, Melvin Johnson and Dextray Barnett; sister, Denise Johnson; and special friend, Dequan Broadnax.

Survived by brothers, Robert Barnett, Eugene Johnson, Jerome Johnson, Freddie Johnson, Curtis Johnson and Samuel Shepherd, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and special friend, Tony Houston.
