Leah M. Watson

September 1, 1985 — April 11, 2026

Leah Michele Watson and identical twin sister were born on September 1, 1985 to military man and stay at home father, George Harris and to Beverly Watson who was a Solid State Control Managing Director. Leah transitioned from this life on April 11, 2026. She now rests peacefully in the arms of our Heavenly Father.

Overcoming being orphaned at the age of seven, Leah graduated from South High School in 2003, later earning her certifications as a State Tested Nursing Assistant and Licensed Practical Nurse. Leah was pursuing her RN degree at Hocking Community College.

Leah was a member of Mount Carmel Worship Center, where her uncle, Sonny J. Walker Sr. is Pastor. She enjoyed listening to worship music and reading the Old Testament stories in the Bible. She was committed to praying and fasting on Wednesdays. On Wednesdays everyone knew not to call her before 12 noon. At 12:01 she was excited to share her latest revelation from God and how we could apply it to our lives.

Leah was known and loved for being the life of the party. She truly made the ordinary feel extraordinary. Leah brought joy, light, and laughter to our lives. She always had kind words, a joke to make you laugh, and an infectious smile. Leah was loving, kind, forgiving, compassionate, empathetic, uplifting, selfless, and had a servant's heart.

Leah was passionate about fashion, travel, caring for others, making people laugh, and taking pictures to capture memories. Everyone knew her favorite app was her camera!

Leah was a compassionate hospice nurse and deeply committed to providing exceptional care to her patients. Leah's mission was to preserve dignity to those at the end of their life.

Leah is remembered for being a phenomenal mother to her son, Kenny. Kenny was the light of her life; her Sunshine. As a teenage mom; Leah bonded with her son through love, kindness, jokes, pranks, and laughter. Often referring to herself as the best "Fraent" (friend/parent) ever! She was the boss baby amongst her siblings, an exceptional friend and a guiding light to all the children in her life.

Preceded in death by her Father: George Robert Harris; Mother: Beverly Jean Watson and brother: William Raymond Woodruff.

Left to carry her light and cherish her memory is her Son: Kenneth Wilkerson III; Siblings: Lybra Watson, Tawana (William III) Dukes and Willie (Ticquella) Woodruff; Niece and Nephews: Aniah, William IV (Nayona), Isaac, Timothy, Marcus, Devonte and William; Great Nephew: William V.; Earth Parents: Walter and Yolanda Adams; God Siblings: Anton Johnson and Kayla Adams; Goddaughter and Best Friend: Juanaya Massey and Michelle Massey; Special Cousins: Antionette Walker and Micah Thompson; Special Friends: Amanda Likely and Pia Thorpe.

Leah's legacy will continue to live on through the lives of her beloved family, cherished friends, nursing community and all those whose lives she touched.
