Trustee Leslie Edward Bridges

Leslie Bridges was born on March 8, 1940, to Titus and Mildred Bridges. He departed this life peacefully on November 27, 2025, at the age of 85.

He was a product of the Columbus Public Schools. a graduate of East High School, the Mighty Tigers. Leslie went to Indiana Tech, where he played Basketball, and his major was architect. He also went to Franklin University.

Leslie also served in the United States Army.

Leslie was a Carpenter by trade, but served sometimes as the general contractor on many jobs until he retired.

Leslie was a kind and loving person who would help anyone he met. His greatest love was for his family and his church. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of the Sigsbee Avenue Church of God until the Lord called him home.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Edna Bridges; Parents, Titus and Mildred, and Son Michael (Mike) Branch Bridges.

Leslie leaves to cherish his memory, Wife, Ruth of 55years, Children, Monique, Rashida and Les Bridges, Jr. Grandchildren, Kahlil, Rafiq, Najje, and Shabazz Bridges, Sister, Sharon Sheets, Sister-in-law, Regina Branch, Nephew, Arron Sheets, great-grandchildren, Qye, Prince, and Jeremiah, and many other relatives, church members, and friends.

In his lifetime, he was called: Leslie, Les, Mr. Les, Hoss, Dad, Grandpa, Paw Paw, Gentle Giant, Big Man, Deacon Les, Trustee Less, but I just call him the love of my life.
