Lester Wilson McKinnon

Lester Wilson McKinnon was born August 5, 1946 in Columbus Ohio to his parents: Joseph and Boyddeen McKinnon.

Lester attended Columbus Public School and East High School. Lester discovered God at an early age at Gay Street Baptist Church.

Lester was a hard working man that provided for his family and sometimes his friends if they needed help. Lester retired from Local 423 after suffering an injury. Lester never met a stranger. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was known as "Dad" and "Paw Paw" to his late daughter's and granddaughter's friends. He loved watching sports and especially his Buckeyes.

Lester married his best friend, Gearldleen J. McKinnon in 1979.

Lester is preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Boyddeen McKinnon: daughter: Kimberly Leslie Renea McKinnon; siblings: Joseph, Peter, Josephine "Jola", David, James "Jimbo" Mckinnon and Sonya Thorton and nieces: Aleesha Ghee and Denise Dawson.

He leaves behind his Wife of 47 years: Gearldleen J. McKinnon; Daughters: Shelly Walter and Erica (Andre) Lampkins; Son: Lester "Nippy" Walters; Special Granddaughters: Shanequoa "Shae" McKinnon and Quiera (Brandon) Chestnut; four Granddaughters; Special Grandson: Curtis Lampkins; two Grandsons; Special Great-Granddaughter: Kimberly E. Johnson; 12 Great- Grandchildren; Sister: Marva Dawson; Sister-in-law: Martha McKinnon; Special Nephew: Philip Dawson (PJ); very Dear Friend: Lawerence Bell and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and friends.
