Lillie Mae Terrell

Lillie Mae Terrell was born on Saturday, February 16, 1929 to the late Napoleon and Pearl Green in Charleston, West Virginia. She accepted Christ at an early age as her personal savior.

She moved to Columbus, Ohio and married Murphy Terrell on June 9, 1952. Even though they divorced in 1988, he was always her First Love. Lillie Mare attended Bliss College to further her knowledge of Business Administration. She helped her then husband Murphy to establish and maintain the T&W Wrecking Company. She was very active in the day to day operation of that Business. For a period of time she and Murphy owned a small restaurant. She was later employed by Don & Mary Casto.

She was very active in the churches she attended. She was very knowledgeable about the Bible and taught Sunday School and Bible Study Classes. She was an Evangelist and one of the Mothers of the Church. In her Ninety-five years she attended many churches. Her last membership was with Emmanuel Tabernacle until her health declined.

Lille Mae was the last surviving member of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings, sisters, Mary “AKA” Red, Matilda “AKA” Sue, and Daisy; brothers, Napoleon, William “AKA” Cutt and Charles.

Lillie leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Robert (Latonya) Wilson and Terry (Pamela deceased) Wilson; grandsons, Robert Wilson Jr., Marcus (Sharael) Wilson and Terry Wilson Jr.; granddaughters, Robin Gayton, and Tiffany Wilson; great grandchildren, Trinity, Taron, Mikeyla, Mikenzi, Blake, Aniya, Maxim, Brandon, Kamauri, Nai’a, Nai”l, Xavier and Tatum; niece, Sandra “AKA” Duck Poindexter; her dear friend, Alex “AKA” Rick Collins; Her “BEDSIDE BUDDIES”, Mikenzi Gayton and Brandon Simpson Jr, a host of relatives and friends.

Although Lillie Mae never Bore any children of her own, she was a mother to many. Her life as a saint of GOD sustained her to the end. She has gone to her heavenly home and will be missed by all, but never forgotten.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Monday, May 6, 2024 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.).

Interment at Union Cemetery Association.
