Linda, was one the matriarchs of the Broadnax-Turner family and a beautiful soul. She knew no stranger, she was a very encouraging God fearing woman, surrogate mother, servant, and Prayer Warrior to many. She met the love of her life Roosevelt Manley Turner in January 1980, they married March 1985 and enjoyed 36 years of marriage together. She was also an enthusiastic historian and genealogist who loved to learn and understand the history of her family.

Growing up, Linda attended Felton and Koble Elementary, Beery Junior High, and Marion Franklin High School in Columbus Public Schools. After high school, she attended Columbus State Community College. Her work history included time with National City Bank, Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS), and her personal in-home childcare center. She attended Trinity and Bethany Baptist Church, where she was baptized and accepted the LORD as her personal savior at the age of 13 years old, under the leadership of A. Wilson Wood at Bethany. She received the Holy Ghost while attending Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith and then went on to attend and join New Covenant Believers Church under the direction of Bishop Howard Tillman.
