Linellan Hagans, 69 of Pickerington, Ohio, departed this life suddenly on June 23, 2025. Born on July 29, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, to Nellie Mae Collins and Willie Joe Collins. Linellan grew up in the Village of Urbancrest, Ohio. She attended Grove City and Linden McKinley High School. She graduated from the Columbus School of Practical Nursing in 1983, earning her LPN license. After earning her licensure as a practical nurse (LPN), Linell devoted over four decades to caring for others. A life of compassionate care, first in nursing homes and later in home health settings. Known for her gentle touch, unwavering patience, and deep empathy for patients and families alike.
Linell was a great cook with an ability to comfort you with a homemade meal and a hug. She loved holiday traditions, reading, and traveling, but the casino was her happy place!
Beloved, daughter, wife, mother, sister, cousin, and friend. Linellan Collins' greatest joy came from her family. She was the devoted wife to James Earl Hagans, aka "Honey", who preceded her in death on February 1, 2018, as a mother to two daughters, Treva and Makia, her favorite son, Jason, and 3 stepchildren. She embodied strength, warmth, and devotion. She was a doting grandmother to three grandsons, Gerald, James, and Cason, who affectionately called her “Mawmaw”.
Linell was preceded in death by her loving Husband, James Earl Hagans. Her Parents, Willie Joe and Nellie Mae Collins. Brothers Alton Collins, James Collins, Sisters Inez Davis, Delores Morris, Adele Denise Collins.
Linell leaves her precious memories to be cherished by her children Treva Hagans-Bajjou, Jason Hagans, Makia "Mimi" (Stephen Jackson) Hagans, grandchildren, Gerald Watkins, James Hall, Cason Jackson, SIster Joanne Cornett, Brothers Joe Nate (Esther) Collins, Calvin Collins, Willie Collins, Alezzar (Stacy) Collins, A host of nieces and nephews, extended family and countless friends who were embraced as family.
Faithful, generous, spiritual, and kind, she was known for always seeing the good in others. She leaves behind a legacy of boundless love, fierce dedication, and subtle acts of care that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her
