Lisa Renee Pleasant-Turner entered eternal rest on January 21, 2026, after bravely fighting brain cancer for over a year.

Lisa was born on December 29, 1971 in Winnsboro, Louisiana to LeanLynell and Henry Lee Pleasant. As the eldest of five daughters, she was a born fighter, a nurturer and an overall loving spirit. She was a devoted mother, sister, wife, grandmother, aunt and friend. Lisa had a smile and laugh that made it impossible not to smile or laugh with her no matter the situation. Lisa's favorite pass times were shopping at The Bin, reading African-american literature, listening to Reggae music and watching her grandson play football. She was is biggest cheerleader!

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents: LeanLynell and Henry Lee; stepfather: Freeman Morgan;daughters: Ta'nisha and Daynisha Turner; sister: Teresa "Chop" Pleasant; sister-in-law: Valerie Turner, Pauline, Callie and any other grandparents, aunt and uncles.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years: Bobby Turner; sons: Dezrik and Dezmond Turner;Step-son: bobby, jr.; sisters: Christine Pleasant, Janet (James, sr.) Valentine and Latoya (Mike) Morgan; grandson: Daylen Turner; sisters-in-law: Tina Turner and Fannisha Page;Mother-in-law: glenda; brothers-in-law: mandel and derrick turner and James Valentine, Sr.; Nieces: Makayla Pleasant, Mika Valentine and Mya Lilley; Nephews: Dominic Pleasant, Michael Valentine, James Valentine. Jr., Ja'Mar Valentine and Mikel Lilley and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.

Though Lisa faced significant, quiet battles in her life, her legacy is one of courage and triumph over adversity.

She will forever be missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
