Louise Countryman

LOUISE LAVONNE COUNTRYMAN, daughter of the late Clinton Moat Jackson and Catherine Jackson-Scott, was born December 26, 1945, in Chester, Pennsylvania. She went peacefully to be with the Lord on December 24, 2025. She received her formal education in the school districts of Media, Pennsylvania; Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated in 1966 from Newark High School in Newark, Ohio.

An industrious worker, LOUISE was employed as a steel worker and pursued this career for many years. She retired in 2006.

Professing Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age CISSE was baptized by Pastor George Q. Brown of the Rose Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 11. But it was not until many years later after joining New Generation Church that she was an aspirer to seek a real relationship with God. MS. CISSIE will most be remembered for voicing her opinion, as well as her dedication and devotion to God and church. More importantly she will be treasured for her affinity for FROGs. She lived her best life on one foundational standard ... Fully Rely On God! She shifted her focus from self, possessions, or people to God for guidance, strength, and provision, even in difficult times. From 1997 to 2009 she served as the Administrative Clerk for New Generation Church.

A very principled and civic-minded individual in 2008 Louise enthusiastically worked on President Barak Obama's presidential campaign. She eagerly completed her tasks and celebrated with her co-laborers when the first African American was elected President of the USA.

Louise attended and graduated from the Potter's House School of Ministry where she learned to grow and be prepared to advance God's Kingdom on the earth.

SISTER COUNTRYMAN was also preceded in death by her legal guardians, Hattie and Luscious Norwood and Alma Hunter; her name sake and beloved aunt, Louise Alexander; her mother, Catherine Scott; her Dad, Preston Scott Sr.; first husband, Cecil Steele Sr.; late husband, Richard L. Countryman; brothers Melvin Jackson, Preston Scott Jr, Larry Scott, Andrew Scott and Keith Scott. Leaving to work the middle and cherish her memory her children, BerRonica A. Steele, Cecil Steele Jr. and Lawerence E. Steele; her brothers, John {Amanda} Scott and Larry Jackson; five grandchildren, Terrence Steele, Wesley Steele, Keirstin Steele, Miles David Steele and Kodie James Steele; first cousin, Charles {Kerri} Weems of Media, PA; beloved God-families, Crystal Jones, Garrick Jones, Dale-Lyn Featherstone, Dale Featherstone; Robert & Jackie Ryan and very special friend, Falaciano Nelson; great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
