Marilyn Jean Phelps

Marilyn Jean Phelps was born September 19, 1949 to the late Charles and Shirley Wilson in Decatur, Illinois. She was called to be with the Lord on May 22, 2026.

Marilyn attended the Columbus Public Schools and furthered her education and received a degree in journalism from The Ohio State University. Marilyn learned to play the piano at an early age. As an adult, she enjoyed seeing musicals at The Ohio Theater. She enjoyed traveling in and out of the country. She was a dedicated member of the Compassionate Friends Organization.

Marilyn battled several health challenges in the last few years of her life. On her mirror she taped a message to herself, "Preserve me, O God, for I trust in thee. Psalm 16 :1

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; Charles and Shirley Wilson and her son: Jeffrey M. Phelps.

Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory her Uncle: Delbert Mason and Cousins in Columbus, Ohio, Decatur , Illinois and in Arizona.
