Mark M. Ballard J. was born May 21, 1951. At an early age Mark would attend Trinity Baptist Church with his Grandmother, Rose.
Mark attended Columbus Schools. After finishing High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he received an honorable discharge. During some difficult time in his life Mark it lead to some convictions and he served time in several prisons where he furthered his education. He took electrical courses, automotive and barbering courses which all kept him busy.. While serving time he acquired the name Master Blaster. He was a skilled chess player.
Mark loved to cook , grill and bake. He was an excellent cook and was famous for his sweet potato pie and peanut butter cookies. He worked with the Food Pantry ministry until health issues took place. He will always be remembered for asking; "hey you play chess?"
Mark entered eternal rest on Thursday March 19, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Mark and Dorothy Ballard; grandmother: Rose Baldwin and Aunt: Lois Walls.
Mark leaves to cherish his memory; Wife of eight years: Terresa Ballard; Brother: Christopher Ballard; Children: Mark Bush, Michelle Ballard, and Courtney Green; Grandchildren: Dwight (Lexus) Ballard, Arthur Zebb Jr., Malayna Stewart, Terriona Green and Jon'Nae Sutton; eight Great-Grandchildren; Special Friends: Mike Tansley and Deaconess Mary Milner as well as favorite Cousin: Linda Calloway.
