Marlene Campbell

Marlene Eloise Campbell was born on June 19, 1946, to the late Harold S. Whitter and Dorothy A. Tyree in Hamilton, Bermuda. Affectionately known as “Nana”, she answered our master’s call on April 4, 2025, in Gahanna, Ohio. She was 78 years of age.

She confessed Christ at an early age in Bermuda. Upon coming to Omaha, Nebraska. She attended Westley House United Methodist Church in Omaha, NE. After being remarried to Robert Campbell, retired military and moving to Ohio, she became a member of Vineyard of Columbus in Westerville, OH.

Proceeded in death, by her parents. Harold S. Whitter and Dorothy A. Tyree, and Step-Father: Kenneth Tyree. Her former Husband: Robert Campbell of South Carolina. Her Sisters: Grace J. (Jan) Cowan, Dorothea M. (Dori) Outerbridge, Carolann A. ( Carol) Ridley. Several former Sister-In-Laws, Brother-In-Laws.

To cherish her memories, she leaves her two (2) Children: Rhonda ( Rickie) Montgomery-Johnson of Millry, AL, and Tasha (Abdou) Montgomery-M’Boob of Gahanna, OH. Four (4) Grandchildren: Reisha J Frazier, Jasmine M. McElroy, Tamara S. Frazier, Backari M’Boob.

One(1) Great-Grandchild: Jeremiah T. Horton. Sister: Linda M. (Dupree) Hill.

When Rhonda and Rickie married ten (10) years ago, they became part of two blended families. Marlene had four additional Step-Children: Lance Hamilton, Mark (Kayla) Johnson, Chad (Katrina) Johnson, Shameka Calloway, and their families. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. She will be greatly missed!

Marlene loved her family dearly. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.
