Born in Tuscaloosa, AL, Mary lived a life defined by devotion, faith, and deep love for her family. She was married for 32 years to her beloved husband, Chester "Leon" Anders, Sr., who preceded her in death.
Mary was a devoted mother to her daughter, Danielle (Warren) Ball. She warmly welcomed her Daughter-in-Law, Tina Anders, into the family. Her greatest joy was her Grandchildren: Warren (Deshae) Ball, Jazsmin Anders, Jaylen Ball, Chester "Trey" Anders III, and Maya Ball. She was also blessed with one Great-Grandchild, Ah'mil Freeman, who brought her tremendous pride and happiness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester "Leon" Anders Sr.; her son, Chester "Chad" Anders Jr.; her mother, Laura Brazile; her sister, Evelena Walden and her brother, Norman "Sonny" Tubbs.
Mary's interest in the bible started in 1970 and she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on June 12, 1971.
Mary was a devoted Jehovah's Witness and faithfully served as a pioneer, dedicating her life to her ministry and sharing her faith with others. Her love for Jehovah guided her life and was evident in her kindness, strength, and unwavering commitment to her beliefs. She was a member of the Central Congregation.
She leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and faith. Among those she held especially close were Sheridan Amos, Rose Burden, Essie Baker, and Tonya Dunn.
Mary will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her steady strength, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Though she is no longer with us physically, her legacy of faith, love, and resilience will live on through the generations she nurtured and the many lives she touched.
