Mary Louise "Honey "Clark was born on July 8, 1947 in Pulaski, Virginia, to the late Virgie Lewis Holmes and William D. Holmes. She peacefully passed away on April 4, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary fought with determination and grace.
Mary received her education at Christiansburg Institute. She dedicated many years of service and later retired from Veterans Memorial in downtown Columbus. Mary was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Pulaski, Virginia, and later worshiped at Holy Ground Ministries in Columbus, Ohio.
Mary loved spending time with family, playing cards, and sharing her sharp sense of humor. One of her favorite memories was a trip to Las Vegas, and she often dreamed of visiting the Bahamas drinking her a virgin daiquiri. She also enjoyed going to bingo , "playing her number's, relaxing on her porch, and tending to her plants. Her laughter, warmth, and strong family values will be remembered by all who knew and loved her
Mary was preceded in death by her brother, William "Billy" Lewis Sr., and her sisters, Margie Hicks and Mazie Holmes.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory her children: daughter Virgil Clark ; sons Raymond Edward Clark Jr. and Michael Anthony Clark Sr. all of Columbus, Ohio. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Thomas (Shawna ) Clark ,Tyrone Clark, Tramar Clark, Tacaria Clark, Raymond Clark lll, Rayonna Moye, Kierra Clark, Makayla Coleman , Michael Clark Jr., Micah Clark, Mario Clark, and Morgan Bellhorn , along with host of great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank everyone for all the family prayers, support, encouraging words, cards, monetary gifts and donations.
