It is with profound love and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary "Anne" Pearson-Wilson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, who departed this life peacefully in her sleep on April 30, 2025, at the age of 72.
Born on November 1, 1952, to parents William and Mary (Jenkins) Pearson in Columbus, OH. Reared on the southend of Columbus in a community where everyone knew each other, Anne lived a life marked by passionate strength, enduring faith, and boundless love for her family and friends. Whether through her warm smile, her steady hands, or the way she always knew just the right words to say, Anne made everyone around her feel seen, heard, and loved. She carried her family through life’s storms with unwavering grace and stood as a pillar of comfort and wisdom for generations.
Anne will be remembered for her heartfelt laughter, her love for her family and friends, her deviled eggs that brought people together, and the way she found joy in the simple moments—a family game night, her great grandson’s giggle, a funny moment with her daughter, grand daughters, sisters, brother, nephews, nieces, cousins, other family members and friends. She loved generously, loved fiercely, and lived humbly.
Mary “Anne”Pearson-Wilson is preceded in death by parents, William and Mary (Jenkins) Pearson, grandparents Mary and Clarence Pearson, and grandparents Edgar and Irene (Black) Jenkins. Those left to cherish the time they spent together are daughter Geraldena “Gerrie” Pearson, granddaughters Aalexis Williams, and Aaleyah Denham, great grandson Isaiah Dandridge Jr, sisters Marquise Pearson, Beverly (Rick) Pearson-Casey, Janet Pearson, and brother, Timothy Pearson; many nieces, nephews, uncle, cousins, and a host of family and friends. Special friend: Robert Whiteous.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Anne’s spirit will live on in the many lives she touched. She leaves behind a family who adored her and a legacy of passion, resilience, and love that will never fade.
A memorial service to celebrate Anne’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, at The Meeting Point, 2866 Noe Bixby Road, Columbus, Ohio 43232. (https://www.google.com/maps/search/2866+Noe+Bixby+Road,+Columbus,+Ohio+43232?entry=gmail&source=g).
