Michael L. Johnson was born on August 21, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio, to Pandora Johnson and William Suber. He departed this life on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Michael was educated in the Columbus Public Schools and attended Mifflin High School. He served in the Ohio National Guard after high school.

Michael loved to roller skate and dance, whenever he had the opportunity.

Michael was baptized at Greater Vision Missionary Baptist Church.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, William Suber; siblings, Pamela Suber and Joseph Suber and his grandsons, Darez Duff and recently Demontae Johnson.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 31 years, Linda Hopkins-Johnson; children, Michael (Joan), Michelle, Anthony, Lwanna, Wanda, David, Sheila; 27 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; mother, Pandora Johnson; and siblings, Harold Johnson, Karen Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Deborah Dixon, William Philpott, Joey Suber, Crystal (Eric) Childs, and Mia Berkley. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends who will cherish his memory.
