Michael Todd Mandeville, age 59, was born on April 2, 1966, in Columbus, Ohio, to Linda J. and Lincoln T. Mandeville. As the eldest of his siblings, Michael was a loving brother known for his joyful spirit, playful humor, and warm heart. He brought laughter wherever he went and delighted in spending time with his nieces and nephews. A man of kindness and quiet strength, Michael was unwavering in his support of others. His wife often lovingly described him as “the world’s nicest man.” Above all, Michael loved the Lord, cherished his family, and held a deep devotion to his wife and daughter.
Michael was a proud graduate of South High School, Class of 1984, where he sang in the Senior Choir. After graduation, he worked at Marco Plumbing in the sheet metal department. Later he worked alongside his father at Mandeville Plumbing, serving faithfully in multiple roles. He concluded his work career at JP Morgan Chase as a supervisor, known for his integrity and strong work ethic.
Michael grew up attending church with his mother, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in his early twenties and lived a life rooted in faith and service. He faithfully served as the Minister of Music and a member of the Board of Trustees at Jehovah Rapha Outreach Church (JROC). Prior to his leadership at JROC, he ministered through song on the praise teams at The Church at Northpointe and New Salem Baptist Church and was a member of the Mass Choir which was featured on the “We Win” album.
Michael also sang with Craig West and The United Voices of Praise, recording the “His Will” album, where he was a featured soloist on “Holy Spirit” and “Last Call,” in addition to performing lead and background vocals on other tracks. He shared his God-given gift through local, regional, and national karaoke competitions, touching lives wherever he sang. Michael’s soulful voice was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed. We rejoice knowing he now sings praises in heaven’s choir.
On Saturday, January 31, 2026, Michael answered the call of his Heavenly Father and peacefully transitioned to eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Jessica Mandeville; his nephew, Major Eric Stovall; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Michael leaves to cherish his loving memory his Devoted Wife of nearly 37 years: Lee Mandeville; his Parents: Linda J. and Lincoln T. Mandeville; his Siblings: Erica Mandeville, Jason Mandeville (Nicole), and Charles Napper; Sisters-in-Law: Maria Garner and Jean Adams; Brothers-in-Law: J.R. Byrd (Susan) and Brian Byrd (Beth); along with several Nieces, Nephews, Extended Family Members, and a host of Dear Friends.
Though he is no longer with us in body, we find comfort in knowing that Michael has received his heavenly reward and now rests in the presence of the Lord he loved and faithfully served.
