Milton James Green was born in Hamilton County, Ohio, on December 12th, 1941, and was called to his heavenly home on December 24th, 2025. Milton graduated from East High School in Columbus, Ohio, and went on to earn Graduate Degrees from HBCU Central State and The Ohio State University. Milton completed Mortuary School and worked for the Franklin County Coroner's Office for over 30 years until his retirement in 2001.
Milton accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. In 1988, Milton joined Holy Ground Ministries. Over the years, he has held various positions. He was licensed as a Deacon and then accepted the call and was Ordained Elder in the Lord’s Church. Elder Green has not only served at Holy Ground, but has also made it his life's mission to serve all of God’s children wherever they may be. Elder Green is well-known in Central Ohio hospitals, nursing homes, and shelters for visiting, spreading God’s love, and praying for all who need it.
Elder Milton Green is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin L. and Ollie May Smith, Brother Harold Glenn, Sister Ruth Dobson, and Sister-in-law Patricia Glenn. He leaves to cherish his memories Brothers Charles Glenn, Eddie Lee, Ernest (Sarah) Lee, Vaughn, and Clarence Newsome, Andre Small, and brother-in-law John Dobson. Goddaughter Keshia Williams, and a host of nieces and nephews. Special Friends Mary Lewis, Jerema Holliday, Pamela Jones, and Sons.
Elder Green will be remembered not only for his kind heart but also for his love of music, all things fashion, and being an all-around foodie. If there was good music and peach cobbler, you would find Elder Green there.
