On September 26, 1926 God sent an angel and her mother Maggie and father Benjamin Mixon named her Nealor. She would be named after her Mother's Mother. She was born to a family of two brothers, Thomas and John, four sisters, Stella, Alberta, Margaret and Sarah. The house was lively and loving.
She went to Public Schools and attended The Ohio State University where she met and married Edward Gilliam. Together they had three children, Edward Jr. (Rebop), John (Michael and Pamela. They divorced and her life journey took her into a relationship with Willie Cooksey where second daughter Willetta Was born. She later met and married her soul mate Geno Green and they had tow sons, Geno, Jr. and Tyrone. They remained married for over 50 years until Gene passed in 2013.
She was an Evangelist and poet, daughter wife, mother grandmother, great grandmother and great grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her memory devoted daughter, Pamela Bradley and sister Sarah Clark, stepbrother David Gilliam, stepsister Tina Bradshaw, grandchildren, Stacy (SI), Williams, Tina (Bowie) Darden, Tamera (AL) Lloyd, Ta Williams, Netra Gilliam, Shawnta Carmichael, Lakesha Gilliam, Zoey Olds, Veronica Gilliam, Justin (Tiara) Green, Brittney (Pastel) along with a host of great grand and great great grandchildren, her loyal church family, nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends.
Nealor will Lie in State Thursday January 15th from 1-5pm at Marlan Gary Funeral Home, The Chapel of Peace North 2500 Cleveland Ave. Visitation 11:00 A M and Funeral Service 12:00 PM Friday, January 16, 2026 at Jerusalem Tabernacle.
