Norman Edward Moten

Norman E. Moten was born on August 19, 1976 to Craig Moten, Sr. and Vyruth Moten. He departed this earthly life on August 14, 2026.

Norman was educated in the Columbus City Scholl System. He obtained his GED then proceeded to earn his Associate Degree from Ohio Christian University. Noman also obtained certification to become a certified personal trainer in which he was able to build a clientele of ten people.

He also worked as a mixer at Cherry Krueger, C. Krueger Cookies Company and as a certified culinary cook at many restaurants. Norman worked many jobs but his true love and passion was to be a truck driver. He fulfilled his dream when he was hired as a truck driver at Monesi Trucking.

Norman is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Norman E. Moore, Sr. and Elizabeth Moore; paternal grandparents, Eleaner Joseph; uncle, Pastor John D. Moore, Sr; brother, Craig Moten, Jr.; aunt, Brenda E. Lear; uncle and aunt, Pastor James L. Gilbert (Vyruth); John Moore, Linwood Moore, George Moore and Irvin Moore; aunts, Portia Miller, Margaret Gilbert and Christine Spencer; uncles, Norman Moore, Jr. and Ronald (Joanne) Moore.

Norman is survived by his mother, Vyruth Moten; nephew, Tramel Moten; sisters, Virginia, Teena and Terry Coston, Nava Gibbs and Kenya Gibbs; aunts, Carolyn Moore and Christine Moore; special friend, Barbara Freeman and man other relatives, Shonda Moore, Karen Moore, Ronda Moore, Brian Moore and many friends he cherished.
