Oletha Curry was born on July 4, 1953, in Marion, Alabama, to Arthur and Sarah Curry.
Oletha, or as we called her “Lee,” accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Flintridge Missionary Baptist Church for some years. We know that Lee loved the Lord. She was employed at Grant Hospital for 47 years before she retired in 2020/2021. She loved taking care of her patients.
On Thursday, October 30, 2025, she transitioned from this life at Mayfair Village Nursing Care Center under the care of Bella Care Hospice at the command of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Lee is preceded in death by her only child, Shamon Eugene Curry, whom she grieved until her last breath, by both parents, Sarah Curry, Arthur Curry, brothers, Keyotha Curry, Roger, and Samuel Curry, and nephew, Lamar Curry.
Lee leaves to cherish her memories of two sisters, Johnnie Curry and Edna (Curtis) Guinn. Three brothers, Curtis (Bridgette) Curry of El Paso, TX, Tommy Lee of TX, and Norman Brand of New York. Nephews and Nieces, Anthony (Mary) Curry, Cynthia Curry, Monica Gartell, Tika (Earl) Thompson, Curtis D., and Christopher S. Guinn. Special friends, Ruby Loveless & Emma Booker, special sister, Brenda Campbell. A host of Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins.
